The Yips’ soon to be released EP kicks off with a spooky number called “Blood Meridian”, either a nod to the Cormac Mccarthy novel or the so named Vancouver band. From the LA TIMES: The decision means the 69-year-old Spector, famed for his work with musical acts such as Tina Turner, the Beatles and the Righteous Brothers, faces at least 18 years in prison when he is sentenced. The jury determined that Spector killed Lana Clarkson, a statuesque blond actress, on Feb. 3, 2003, just hours after they met in the Sunset Strip club where she worked as a hostess. Over the course of the trial, which began in October, the prosecution portrayed Spector as a sadistic misogynist who had a three-decade “history of playing Russian roulette with the lives of women”[...]

Okay! Awesome stuff is happening and has happened. Crazy Ocean has a myspace now with two tracks from his tape that will be out very soon! The Male Nurse tapes are now 100% complete and will be available at the dual release show with Savage Crimes this Friday at the Rocker Room. They look and sound as good as the gold on the labels. Self Surgery is also playing a show tomorrow at Zaphod's with Adam Saikley and Leif Vollebekk. It is $5 and he'll have copies of his new tape JAZZ DRUMMY. Check it out and pick it up.[...]
